Ask for a certificate of insurance before work starts — we'll send it. Any contractor who hesitates on that question is telling you something.

It changes with the season. Spring is the busiest; late summer and fall usually have more room. Call and we'll tell you honestly. Emergency drainage and sewer work gets fit in as fast as we can.

Every job. Dig Safely New York is free, it's the law, and it takes about two working days, which we build into the schedule.

From a half-day drainage fix to full site prep for a new home. We're a good fit for residential and light-commercial work. If a job is too big for us — a subdivision, heavy highway work — we'll say so.

It's a large part of what we do. Steep lots, tight access, and watershed rules are the normal conditions on Canandaigua, Keuka, and Honeoye, and we plan for them.

The address, a description of what you want done, any plans or engineer's drawings if you have them, and a heads-up about anything buried that 811 won't mark — private lines to a shed, an old septic tank, an irrigation system.

We pull the ones that fall to the excavator — highway work permits for driveways, for example — and we'll tell you which ones you or your builder need to handle, like building or septic permits.

If it's usable, we try to keep it on your property for backfill or grading, which saves you money. If it has to leave, it's hauled by the load and you'll see that on the quote.
