Farmington is flat, wet, and building fast. The land between Route 332 and Route 96 is some of the heaviest clay in the county, with a water table that sits near the surface every spring. It grew potatoes and corn for a century and now grows subdivisions, and the drainage problems that come with that are our steadiest work in the town.
